J loves choosing which episode to watch - and sometimes it's the same episode again and again (and again!)
J loves smoothing / flattening material. For example duvet covers or cloths. The nursery have called it a "schema" (In Piaget's theory of development, children adopt a series of schemata to understand the world).Note the red chest. He rubs and rubs his chest when the cast is taken off. It must feel wonderful after so long without being able to touch it...
What a smile :-)
Pouring is another of J's occupations.
As is turning on and off lights.
The stickers are on a chart - he gets one each time he opens his mouth nicely when I want to clean his teeth. It worked for a while, but the novelty has worn off and it's now like wrestling an alligator.
J made a nest from the duvet and pillows so I "fed" him worms made of fleeces. He really enjoyed this and has asked for this again since the first time. The entertainment value was increased by me singing the Peppa pig song from the episode spring ("I'm a little chick going cheap cheap cheap, I love to peck with my beak beak beak"). I also dance and flap/peck. Thank goodness no-one else can see ;-)
You might be able to see the farm and Fireman Sam's book. The farm has a clever little winch (including magnetic end and a handle to wind it) and there's an episode in the book where Fireman Sam does a rescue with a winch - so we've been copying that :-)
J LOVES Mary Poppins. There again, I'd be very happy for her to move in with us too. Snap your fingers and the things tidy themselves... wonderful.
This was sooo cute. A friend's child wanted to go in the cot too while visiting and they both curled up in the same way :-)
Poor froggy. J is teething (molars - ouch!) and used froggy to bite/relieve his poor gums.
How to clean your bed.
Ta da!
Mmm... cake...
